Make a Splash at the Elwood Public Library

Come be a part of the 2010 Summer Reading Club at the Elwood Public Library!  This year’s theme is

“Make a Splash.”  Registration begins on Monday, June 28th, and ends the third week of August. 

 The first week of the program is only for registration.  Children will be able to receive prizes starting Tuesday, July 6th and ending Friday, August 20th.  All children residing in the Elwood School District are invited to participate. 

Prizes will be given out according to the amount of books read.  There are two reading groups:

Little Swimmers- Read to Me for babies through children entering Kindergarten.  For every five books that are read to the child he or she will receive a prize.  The child can earn up to five prizes for a total of 25 books.  The children who have read ten books will receive an invitation to our End of Summer Reading Celebration. 

 Super Divers- On My Own for children entering 1st grade through those entering 5th grade.  For every two books the child reads, he or she receives a prize.  The child can earn up to five prizes for a total of ten books read.  Those who read four books are invited to the End of Summer Celebration.

 So come and “Make a Splash” at the Elwood Library this summer.  There will be plenty of programs for all ages to choose from related to this theme.
