All programs are held at Elwood Public Library unless otherwise noted. Registration is required for all programs unless otherwise noted and is on a first come, first served basis. Elwood residents may register in person at the Information Desk or call (631) 499-3722. In-person registration is required when a fee is involved. Priority is given to Elwood residents. Non-residents will be placed on a waiting list. Please let us know in advance if you require any special accommodations because of a disability.

Group Study Exchange Program. Join Eileen for an evening of pictures and
stories, as she shares what she's learned about the Korean people and

Hiking Long Island

Join Lee McAllister, the author of two books on hiking. The first, Hiking the Catskills sold 15,000 copies. His second book Hiking Long Island was published in 2002 and is currently in its third printing of a revised addition. The presentation discusses the hiking opportunities on Long Island. The slide show and lecture encompasses the geology, history (natural and human), flora, fauna and topographical features that make Long Island such an interesting place to hike at any season.
