Craft-a-palooza

Let your creative side out. We’ll pull out all of our felt, ribbons, paint, glitter and glue, you see what you can make out of it!

Tell us what you want from the library, talk about programs, books, and anything else that comes up. Snacks provided-- bring a friend or two! Anyone entering 6th grade or above in the Fall is welcome!

 

 August 27

Summer Reading Lock In

7pm-10pm

To celebrate the end of a great summer, we’ll have a night of games, pizza and prizes! To attend you must read and record 2 books in the Summer Reading program by 5pm on the 27th!

The Summer Reading Raffle will be drawn at the Lock-In, but you don’t have to be there to win your prize.

Duct Tape Creations

Use multi-colored Duct Tape to make anything you can think of—a wallet, an ipod case, a rose, or something even better! We provide the duct tape, you bring a great idea or two.

 

September 24

7pm-8:30

Mario Cart

Challenge your friends or other teens to some Mario Cart for Wii! This is the first of our new monthly Friday evening programs, so look for more in the future!

iPod Case

We’ll make felt Ipod cases with a quick and simple sewing technique. Never sewn before? Not at issue! We can make the case for any other electronic device you may have, like a phone or even sunglasses! Bring the item you’ll be making the case for, so we can get a good measurement!

 

September 27- October 25

Book Quest!

6pm

Do you like to read? Are you a fan of game shows? This program combines the best of those two activates! We’ll meet once a week on Mondays, for an hour. We’ll read a few chapters of the book at home each week, then practice questions at the meeting for the final quiz on October 25th! The book will be announced at the first meting on September 27th! Please make sure to sign up so we can get you a book!

 

September 22

Decorated Pen Cup     

We’ll make a pen cup from a recycled can or jar. Please bring a clean, empty can or jar, we’ll provide everything you need to make it look wonderful!
